About i2i
i2i is a Welsh Assembly Government funded project set up in 2006, and now managed by CIH Cymru. The project has 2 core functions;
1. WHQS support to Local Authorities, Registered Social Landlords, and transfer organisations.
- Helping tenants, staff and Councillors to access clear and accurate information and ensure that there are opportunities for all to become involved and engaged in the WHQS process
- WHQS plus – maximising the opportunities for local investment, community benefit, training, jobs and small business development
2. Housing led regeneration
- Developing projects where housing led regeneration is a core part of the activity
- Promoting good practice guidance and best value in procurement
- Identifying areas where partnership working and collaboration can result improved results and additional funding for work
Where do we work?
i2i is now a Wales wide project. There are dedicated support officers located in both North and South Wales working to support local partners on specific area based issues.
