The WHQ car share forum is not a car sharing club - it is simply a way of people exchanging information about car sharing to and from relevant events in Wales. We hope that people will use it to arrange lifts with the many friends and colleagues they already know who travel to the same events. However, it can also be used to arrange car shares with people who you do not know.

WHQ does not take responsibility for matching offers of and requests for lifts. In addition, WHQ will not accept liability for:

the safety of anyone offering or taking a lift
the failure of any lift arrangements

We suggest that, when you post your details on the site, you provide your email address using the word at instead of the symbol @ - this will reduce the chance of getting spam. You can also post your telephone number if you want.

Anyone who arranges to provide or receive a lift is responsible for their own safety, but there are some simple security measures everyone can take if you do not know the person you are sharing a car with:

avoid exchanging home addresses
arrange to meet in a public place or other location which is easy to travel from by alternative means should the lift fail
show each other your IDs - driving licence, passport - so that you know that you are travelling with the right person

Finally, if your travel plans change, please let your lift offerer or sharer know so that they are not inconvenienced.

post or transmit material that is libellous, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, misleading, harmful or abusive
use this site to advertise or sell products or services to others
