Sylfaen Cymunedol Cyf, through training and support, works toward the development of capacity in communities, workers and agencies which has as its aim the alleviation of poverty, an increase in influence and power and the promotion of equal opportunities of those living in disadvantage. This training and support results in communities researching and finding local solutions to local problems and the experience develops skills that remain in the community and promotes sustainable communities.
Specialisms include a community development project that works with communities on a very local level over long periods in a supportive and sensitive way. Working from where the community is, supporting their ideas and aspirations, whether it is running a summer play scheme at a cost of £1,600 or a £1,000,000 community centre.
