Open Communities is an independent advice and training agency which specialises in advising and supporting tenants, landlords and local stakeholders through change. They offer expert advice and support tenants and residents groups, particularly those seeking a greater say in the way their homes and neighbourhoods are managed.

Open Communities specialises in:

community tenant empowerment and estate regeneration - training and supporting tenants, residents and community groups to change their homes and neighbourhoods for the better;
putting tenants in control of the way their homes and estates are managed and maintained - licensed by the Welsh Assembly Government, they are currently working with the support of local authorities in both north and south Wales on projects funded by the Tenant Empowerment Grant scheme;
Stock Transfer expertise and independent tenant advice - putting tenants at the heart of decision making - they are currently acting as Independent Tenants Adviser in two authorities in Wales;
Best Value advice - working with local authorities, housing associations, private landlords and their tenants to look critically at the quality and value of their housing management services.
